My work has been designed for picnic ware, with the inspiration coming from summertime in London, focusing on British florals and elements from Georgian architecture.

A lot of my inspiration was taken from a research trip to London; I absolutely loved the colours and styles in and around Chelsea, as well as all the beautiful floral displays; my idea of combining the two together stemmed from seeing how beautifully the florals and greenery grew up and around the buildings, almost framing them.

I have always been a big lover of British florals and it is a theme I find myself continually coming back to – it is something I just love researching and designing for.

I feel the architectural theme adds an extra interesting and unusual element to my florals; I have enjoyed the challenge of getting these two elements to work in harmony together.

Incorporating a bright colour palette has also greatly helped to create a fresh, summery feel and perfectly enhances my ‘Summertime in London’ picnic ware collection.

Mae fy ngwaith wedi’i ddylunio ar gyfer llestri picnic, gyda’r ysbrydoliaeth yn dod o amser yr haf yn Llundain, gan ganolbwyntio ar batrymau blodeuol Prydeinig ac elfennau o bensaernïaeth Sioraidd.

Daeth llawer o fy ysbrydoliaeth o daith ymchwil i Lundain; bu i mi ddwlu ar y lliwiau ac arddulliau yn Chelsea a’r cyffiniau, yn ogystal â’r holl arddangosiadau blodeuol prydferth: deilliodd fy syniad o gyfuno’r ddau o weld pa mor brydferth yr oedd y blodau a’r gwyrddni sy’n tyfu i fyny ac o amgylch yr adeiladau, gan fframio nhw bron.

Rwyf bob amser wedi dwlu ar batrymau blodeuog Prydeinig ac mae’n thema y gwelaf fy mod yn dod yn ôl ati dro ar ôl tro – mae’n rhywbeth rwy’n dwlu ar ymchwilio iddo a dylunio ar ei gyfer.

Rwy’n teimlo bod y thema bensaernïol yn ychwanegu elfen ddiddorol ac anarferol bellach at fy nyluniadau blodeuog; rwyf wedi mwynhau’r her o gael y ddwy elfen hyn i weithio gyda’i gilydd mewn cytgord.

Mae ymgorffori palet lliwiau llachar hefyd wedi helpu creu ymdeimlad ffres a hafaidd ac mae’n berffaith i fwyhau fy nghasgliad llestri picnic ‘Summertime in London’.
