I am an illustrator and writer who creates short comics and illustrations heavily influenced by nostalgia, surrealism, anime and pop culture from the 90s. Using both traditional and digital methods of creating illustrations, I hope my work leaves its audience with a light and happy heart. Hometown is for nostalgic millennials who want to go back to their childhood in the 80s and 90s. This book was made to look back on all the new tech, tacky clothes and music videos, conspiracy theories, cartoons and countless end of world predictions of the era we millennials grew up in. Compared to how everything is in the world now, a millennials childhood is like a rose coloured paradise calling to them from the past and I hope that Hometown has captured even the tiniest part of that paradise in something you can look at and remember some of the good times and escape reality for a short while.

Darlunydd ac awdur wyf i, sy’n creu comics byr a darluniadau dan ddylanwad trwm hiraeth, swrealaeth, anime a diwylliant pop o’r 90au. Trwy ddefnyddio dulliau traddodiadol a digidol o greu darluniadau, fy ngobaith yw i’m gwaith godi calon ei gynulleidfa. Mae ‘Hometown’ ar gyfer y mileniaid hynny sy’n hiraethu am ddychwelyd i’w plentyndod yn yr 80au a’r 90au. Crëwyd y llyfr hwn er mwyn edrych yn ôl ar holl dechnoleg newydd, dillad di-chwaeth a fideos cerddoriaeth, damcaniaethau am gynllwynion, cartwnau a phroffwydoliaethau diddiwedd diwedd y byd y cyfnod y cawsom ni’r mileniaid ein magu. O gymharu â’r byd fel y mae yn awr, mae plentyndod y mileniaid yn wawr rosliw baradwysaidd yn galw arnynt o’r gorffennol ac rwy’n gobeithio bod ‘Hometown’ wedi dal hyd yn oed y mymryn lleiaf o’r baradwys honno mewn golygfeydd y gallwch chi edrych arnynt a chofio rhai o’r dyddiad da a dianc rhag realiti am gyfnod byr.
