Bella King

BA (Hons) Ceramics

I am a ceramicist with a passion for exploring the interplay between disciplines, surface and form. I consider myself as much a 2D as a 3D artist and my work has become an opportunity for exploring the relationships between object, drawing and painting and the ceramic material itself; each considered of equal importance. This interplay between design and construction, clay and paint, surface and form, has the power to take the final outcome or finished piece to unexpected places.

The artwork is generated through this processes of exploration. It can feel almost like conducting an orchestra and hearing new music each time.
