Plastic pollution is something that is becoming more and more discussed however, the campaigns to raise awareness are constantly the same thus resulting in us, the audience, becoming numb to what we are seeing, its time to change this and bring a new visual identity to how we raise awareness of plastic pollution.

Our British coastlines are quite the thing of beauty however, they are being destroyed and torn by our negligence of them. Coastline San(d)s is a type face made up the British coastline, some of the letters are made up of well known coast while others are made up of coastline that not many may know but the point is that all of our coast is beautiful and deserves celebration no matter how many people know about it. The posters the accompany this type have been produced to raise awareness of the problems being caused by plastic pollution in a way I believe hasn’t been done before, representing the effects plastic has on our oceans and coastlines through the visuals of the poster, this use of bright colour to represent the colours of plastics and then the fact that the posters are clearly destroyed and damaged thus revealing more underneath with the use of the coastline type face to remind the audience of what we are destroying.

Mae llygredd plastig yn rhywbeth sy’n cael ei drafod mwyfwy, fodd bynnag mae’r ymgyrchoedd i godi ymwybyddiaeth yr un peth o hyd, gan olygu ein bod ni, y gynulleidfa, yn mynd yn ddideimlad i’r hyn yr ydym yn ei weld, mae’r amser wedi dod i newid hwn a dod â hunaniaeth weledol newydd i’r ffordd yr ydym yn codi ymwybyddiaeth o lygredd plastig.

Mae morliniau Prydain yn enghraifft o brydferthwch, fodd bynnag maent yn cael eu dinistrio a’u rhwygo gan ein hesgeulustra. Mae Coastline San(d)s yn ffurfdeip a grëir o forlin Prydain, mae rhai o’r llythrennau wedi’u ffurfio o arfordir adnabyddus ac mae rhai eraill wedi’u ffurfio o forlin efallai nad yw llawer yn gwybod amdano ond y pwynt yw bod ein harfordir i gyd yn brydferth ac yn haeddu cael ei ddathlu ni waeth faint o bobl sy’n gwybod amdano. Mae’r posteri sy’n cyd-fynd â’r teip hwn wedi’u cynhyrchu i godi ymwybyddiaeth o’r problemau sy’n cael eu hachosi gan lygredd plastig, mewn ffordd y credaf nad yw wedi cael ei wneud o’r blaen, gan gynrychioli effaith plastig ar ein cefnforoedd a morliniau trwy nodweddion gweledol y poster, mae’r defnydd hwn o liwiau llachar yn cynrychioli lliwiau plastigau ac yna y ffaith y dinistrir y posteri’n amlwg gan ddatgelu mwy oddi tanynt trwy ddefnyddio’r ffurfdeip yn null morlin i atgoffa’r defnyddiwr o’r hyn rydym yn ei ddinistrio.
