The collection ‘A Cara de Lisboa’ which translates ‘The face of Lisbon’ is a project based on the decorative culture of Lisbon, Portugal. I have been inspired by the famous tiles that are a focus point of the city and identified the floral and geometric qualities in motif shapes and repeating styles to create a modern collection of soft bedroom furnishings. The colours I have used are directly inspired by the colours on the buildings around the city alongside key colour trends appropriate for Spring/Summer 2021.

This collection demonstrates my painting and design/pattern making skills using digital software. These forms of media represent my style of illustrative tonal design which can be used in a delicate or bold way. My passion for researching culture and nature through the form of drawing combined with the experience gathered I feel naturally progresses me into the stationery, giftware and interiors market.

Mae’r casgliad ‘A Cara de Lisboa’ neu ‘wyneb Lisbon’ yn brosiect sy’n seiliedig ar ddiwylliant addurniadol prifddinas Portiwgal. Cefais fy ysbrydoli gan y teils enwog sy’n ganolbwynt i’r ddinas, gan nodi nodweddion blodau a geometrig mewn siapiau motiff ac arddulliau ailadrodd i greu casgliad modern o lenni a deunyddiau ystafell wely. Mae’r lliwiau rwy’n eu defnyddio wedi’u hysbrydoli’n uniongyrchol gan liwiau’r adeiladau o amgylch y ddinas ynghyd â thueddiadau lliw allweddol sy’n addas ar gyfer gwanwyn/haf 2021.

Mae’r casgliad hwn yn dangos fy sgiliau peintio a dylunio/gwneud patrymau trwy gyfrwng meddalwedd ddigidol. Mae’r cyfryngau hyn yn cynrychioli fy arddull ddylunio tonyddol darluniadol y gellir ei ddefnyddio mewn ffordd gynnil neu feiddgar. Mae fy niddordeb angerddol mewn ymchwilio i ddiwylliant a natur drwy gyfrwng lluniadu ynghyd â’r profiadau a gasglwyd, yn fy arwain yn naturiol at y farchnad deunyddiau ysgrifennu, rhoddion a dylunio mewnol.
