Laura Nye

BA (Hons) Illustration

An Illustrator and Poet with a determination to tackle taboos.

Dedicated to create responses towards the subjects of sexual violence, parental relationships and toxicity. Each project is matured from my own experiences. This allows myself to express a high level of honesty, sensitivity and closeness within my work.

With a background interested in English Literature, it grew most natural to invite words amongst the imagery created.

The two passions intertwining has granted me to communicate in a much more intimate and expressive manner.

I aim to reach the vulnerable hearts, directing each project to engage, comfort and support anyone who has experienced suffering. By continuing to do this, I hope to expand a growing community online, to encourage upcoming conversation amongst peoples daily lives.

Darlunydd a Bardd sy’n benderfynol o fynd i’r afael â thabŵau ac sy’n ymroi i greu ymatebion i bynciau trais rhywiol, perthnasoedd rhieni a gwenwyndra. Mae pob prosiect yn deillio o’m profiadau personol. Mae hyn yn fy ngalluogi i fynegi lefel uchel o onestrwydd, sensitifrwydd ac agosrwydd yn fy ngwaith.

Yn sgil fy niddordeb cefndir mewn Llenyddiaeth Saesneg, tyfodd hyn yn naturiol iawn i wahodd geiriau i blith y lluniau a grëwyd.

Mae rhyngblethu’r ddau ddiddordeb wedi fy ngalluogi i gyfathrebu mewn modd llawer mwy personol a mynegiannol.

Rydw i am gyrraedd calonnau bregus, gan gyfeirio pob prosiect i ddenu, cysuro a chefnogi unrhyw un sydd wedi dioddef. Drwy barhau i wneud hyn rwy’n gobeithio ehangu’r gymuned gynyddol ar-lein, i annog sgwrs ym mywydau bob dydd pobl.
