This project explores the ability of a graphic designer, to manipulate and persuade a consumer through different design techniques, proving how easy it is to sell something to someone. Together Forever is a brand that sells products to couples, to bring them closer together. The manipulation happens through the branding and advertising of the products. The typeface, colours and imagery were all chosen because of their ability to persuade. The products themselves are unusable, however with the right advertising and design, they appear to be plausible. There is also a more sinister part to the brand, wording the brand name ‘Together Forever’ and the slogan as ‘Never Leave Their Side,’ it has connotations with being unable to leave someone. However, placing these words within a positive and loving theme, gives them a different meaning. These subtle techniques are not obvious without an explanation as to why they were chosen, as the aim of the project isn’t to raise awareness, but to prove the effectiveness of advertising and design.

Mae rhan fwy sinistr i’r brand trwy eirio enw’r brand ‘Together Forever’ a’r slogan fel ‘Never Leave Their Side,’ mae’n awgrymu na ellir byth gadael rhywun. Er hynny, mae gosod y geiriau hyn o fewn thema gadarnhaol a llawn cariad yn rhoi ystyr gwahanol iddynt. Nid yw’r technegau cynnil hyn yn amlwg heb esbonio pam y cawsant eu dewis, gan nad cynyddu ymwybyddiaeth mo nod y prosiect ond profi effeithiolrwydd hysbysebu a dylunio.
