Alchemy and Emotional Storytelling

Nature always wears the colors of the spirit

Looking into the beauty of nature is a most exciting thing for me, because it is uncreatable and provokes fascination. All the movement and the transformation give delight to my senses, touching and enriching my soul. The relationship between ceramics and nature is inseparable, all ceramics material is produced over hundreds of years of evolution. The relationship between myself and nature is inseparable. I am an emotional storyteller, using the movement of glaze to suggest moments of change in the weather, using glaze to capture the shift in colors and tones that reflect my own emotional response to natural scenery.

The qualities of glaze and form are the works core characteristics. The vessels simplicity references traditional Chinese vessels; the fluidity of the curve must capture the viewers eye causing it to plummet along with the glaze into the center, promoting unity, the activity of the viewer and the activity of the materials working in harmony.

Mae natur bob amser yn gwisgo lliwiau’r ysbryd

Mae edrych ar harddwch natur yn beth hynod gyffrous i mi, oherwydd ei fod yn amhosibl i’w greu ac yn ennyn cyfaredd. Mae’r holl symud a thrawsnewid yn foddhad i’m synhwyrau, gan gyffwrdd a chyfoethogi fy enaid. Mae’r berthynas rhwng cerameg a natur yn anwahanadwy, gyda holl ddeunyddiau cerameg yn cael eu creu dros gannoedd o flynyddoedd o esblygiad. Mae’r berthynas rhyngof i a natur yn anwahanadwy. Rwy’n storïwraig emosiynol, yn defnyddio symudiad gwydredd i awgrymu ennyd o newid yn y tywydd, ac yn defnyddio gwydredd i ddal y newid mewn lliwiau ac arlliwiau sy’n adlewyrchu fy ymateb emosiynol i fy hun i olygfeydd naturiol.

Priodweddau gwydredd a ffurf yw nodweddion craidd y gwaith. Mae symlrwydd y llestri yn cyfeirio at lestri Tsieineaidd traddodiadol; rhaid i esmwythder y gromlin ddal llygad y gwyliwr, a pheri i’r llygad blymio i’r canol ynghyd â’r gwydredd, gan hyrwyddo undod, gweithgaredd y gwyliwr a gweithgaredd y deunyddiau yn gweithio mewn cytgord.
