Visible
My current work explores my interest in light and space.
The exploration through Light and Space art and the idea of linear perspective have become a fundamental idea behind my current work.
My video aims to create a visual indeterminacy through the use of light, projections, dust, fog and apparently empty spaces; in this way ‘invisible light’ that is unavailable for the naked eye becomes visible, dynamic and disorientating. It aims to stimulate the brain and change the viewer’s perception as well as making the otherwise invisible cone of light from a data projector become available to the viewer’s perception.
The influence on my work is primarily from artists like James Turrell, United Visual Artists and Chris Fraser.
