I’ve always been interested in abstraction; it is neither defined nor undefined.
I enjoy making the viewer question the subject of my art, due to either the composition or the way the work is created.
My work is photography based, mainly working in the darkroom; I feel as if traditional photography has been forgotten and it is refreshing to experiment with the different processes that are possible. Through the darkroom I have tried many different techniques to manipulate and alter my photographs such as multiple exposures, collaging and photograms. With the processes I use in the darkroom, there is always room for human error as I have a measurement of control with the final outcome, but that is the beauty of the process I have chosen – mistakes can be the best outcomes.
