I am a surface pattern designer who loves florals and colour within nature. The collection ‘Wonderous and Wild’ is an interior Spring/Summer collection, for a female between the ages 25-35. Its theme is based on British birds, florals and foliage. The inspiration behind this theme is not only my love for florals and foliage but my Nan’s love for it also. She loved wildlife, bold colours and enjoyed spending most of her time in her garden. Hand drawing and painting my motifs using watercolour and fine liner pens, were digitally adjusted in Photoshop and Illustrator to create my patterns. The colours from my colour palette have been applied to a few of my design backgrounds, making my individual collections become more cohesive. The four collections are grouped by colour, each having their own distinctive uniqueness from the use of motifs and pattern layouts. Seeing the designs on products and in situ from my product mock-up’s, gives us a sense of what they would look like in someone’s home.

Rwy’n ddylunydd patrymau ar yr wyneb sy’n hoff o flodau a lliwiau byd natur. Mae ‘Wonderous and Wild’ yn rhan o gasgliad ystafell y gwanwyn/haf, ar gyfer menywod rhwng 25 a 35 oed a’r thema’n seiliedig ar adar, blodau a deiliant Prydeinig. Daw’r ysbrydoliaeth nid yn unig o’m cariad at bethau blodeuog a deiliog ond hefyd cariad fy Nain atynt. Roedd hi’n hoff iawn o fywyd gwyllt a lliwiau amlwg, ac yn mwynhau treulio’r rhan fwyaf o’i hamser yn ei gardd. Rwy’n defnyddio dyfrlliw a phennau tenau i ddarlunio â llaw a pheintio’r motiffau wedyn, cyn eu haddasu’n ddigidol â Photoshop ac Illustrator i greu fy mhatrymau. Rydw i wedi defnyddio lliwiau o’m mhalet i gefndir sawl cynllun, gan roi naws mwy gydlynus i’m casgliadau unigol. Mae’r pedwar casgliad wedi’u grwpio fesul lliw, ac mae gan bob un ei stamp unigryw trwy’r defnydd o fotiffau a phatrymau arbennig. Mae gweld fy mrasluniau ar gynhyrchion ac yn y fan a’r lle, yn rhoi syniad o sut fyddant yn edrych yng nghartref rhywun arall.
