Animal Instincts

Animal Instincts delves deep into the jungle focusing on the animals who call it home and the habitat in which they live. The focus of this collection is to bring an element of the jungle into your home with considered design, a contemporary colour palette and modern styling.

My lifestyle and interior Autumn/Winter 2020 collection takes inspiration from a series of animals and their unique prints including snakes, zebras and leopards along with inspiration taken from their distinctive habitat. The use of luxurious textured fabrics compliments and accentuates my designs bringing them to life.

As a designer, I work primarily by taking digitally and hand drawn designs into a digital format to create repeat patterns. I also love to add texture to my designs with the addition of hand processes including flocking, devore and stitch. Metallic influences are often at the forefront of my designs with the use of textiles foil to add a luxury finish to my pieces.
My overall aim is to bring a modern, striking and contemporary feel to everyday living.

Mae Animal Instincts yn mynd i ddyfnderoedd y jyngl gan ganolbwyntio ar yr anifeiliaid sy’n ei alw’n gartref a’r cynefin y maent yn byw ynddo. Canolbwynt y casgliad hwn yw dod ag elfen o’r jyngl i mewn i’ch cartref gyda dyluniad a ystyrir yn ofalus, palet lliwiau cyfoes ac arddull fodern.

Mae fy nghasgliad ffordd o fyw ac addurniadau mewnol Hydref/Gaeaf 2020 yn cymryd ysbrydoliaeth o gyfres o anifeiliaid a’u printiau unigryw gan gynnwys nadroedd, sebraod a llewpardiaid wedi’u cymryd o’u cynefin unigryw. Mae defnyddio ffabrigau gweadog moethus yn cydweddu â fy nyluniadau ac yn eu cryfhau, gan ddod â nhw’n fyw.

Fel dylunydd, rwy’n gweithio’n bennaf trwy gymryd dyluniadau digidol ac wedi’u tynnu â llaw i mewn i fformat digidol i greu patrymau ailadroddol. Rwy’n hoff iawn o ychwanegu gweadedd at fy nyluniadau hefyd trwy ychwanegu prosesau llaw gan gynnwys fflocio, devoré a phwytho. Mae dylanwadau metelaidd yn aml yn flaenllaw yn fy nyluniadau gyda’r defnydd o ffoil tecstilau i ychwanegu gorffeniad moethus at fy narnau.
Fy nod cyffredinol yw dod â theimlad modern, trawiadol a chyfoes at fywyd bob dydd.
