Amy is a hands-on maker who prefers to produce work using as much traditional crafting techniques as possible to achieve bespoke handmade outcomes. A physical connection with materials is important to Amy as it creates a flowing exchange of the making process from the artist to the viewer. She uses found objects to inspire her creations, embellishing and manipulating these vintage finds to give them a new lease of life which celebrates their nostalgic beauty in a contemporary jewellery/ body adornment context. Through using whimsy in her pieces, she hopes to invite an interactive response to her decorative and tactile work.
