How does sustainability affect our surroundings and how does it affect our lives? Are we living every day in ways which are creating positive or negative effects on the environment we live in? Is this something we could be taking more seriously or is this something we choose to ignore instead of facing the problem at hand? Are we really educated on what’s going wrong in the environmental world or is this something that is kept from us? The focus of my work is to spread awareness about environmental harm through the power of art. Using mixed media collage techniques, I hope my work can give people a real glimpse into what we aren’t always shown in the newspapers. I think art has the power to speak to people, in a way in which we are unable to speak to each other and can send an extremely powerful message.

Sustainability is something that is very close to my heart and sending powerful messages around this subject has become very important to me.

Sut mae cynaladwyedd yn effeithio ar yr hyn sydd o’n cwmpas a sut mae’n effeithio ar ein bywydau. Ydyn ni’n byw bob dydd mewn ffyrdd sy’n creu effeithiau cadarnhaol neu negyddol ar yr amgylchedd rydym yn byw ynddo? Ydy hyn yn rhywbeth y dylem fod yn ei drin yn fwy difrifol neu ydyw’n rhywbeth yr ydym yn dewis ei anwybyddu yn lle wynebu’r broblem sydd wrth law? Ydym ni wir yn cael ein haddysgu ar beth sy’n mynd o’i le yn y byd amgylcheddol neu ydy hyn yn rhywbeth sy’n cael ei ddal yn ôl gennym? Ffocws fy ngwaith yw lledaenu ymwybyddiaeth o niwed amgylcheddol trwy bŵer celfyddyd. Gan ddefnyddio technegau gludwaith cymysg, rwy’n gobeithio y gall fy ngwaith ddarparu cipolwg go iawn ar yr hyn na dangosir i ni bob amser yn y papurau newydd. Rwy’n credu bod gan gelfyddyd y pŵer i siarad â phobl, mewn ffordd na allwn siarad â’n gilydd ac y gall anfon neges hynod bwerus.

Mae cynaladwyedd yn rhywbeth sy’n agos iawn at fy nghalon ac mae anfon negeseuon pwerus o gwmpas y pwnc hwn wedi mynd yn bwysig iawn i mi.

We have never been so connected yet so alone. The internet has become integral to our daily lives, no element of our existence seems untouched by it. But have we been caught and paralysed in the web? We are constantly on display and exposed, yet anonymous. We seem to...

I would describe my art as confessional; I take inspiration from my life events and feelings surrounding these experiences, I translate this through my work. I see my practice as a portal from my life in which I can lose myself and explore the deepest truths of my...

I have recently been exploring ideas related to the home and memory, and how they form identity. I am interested in how to defy the imperative to follow a linear structure in personal narrative and instead look for a more honest depiction of memory, which is itself...
