My art work is based around science and space, it explores the developing changes in the universe and is influenced by different theories, facts and ways of thinking. Through my investigation of space I have explored different paths of thought.

My main interest is about how technology has rapidly changed by examining the way people first felt about discoveries and the ways in which we see them now. Technology is forever changing and for that reason we see a constant growth, this becomes evident throughout our history and because of this space becomes clearer.

Although we will never have the perfect image, it continues to get better as it has throughout history and with the development of technology. With this Ive created a comparison of the Orion nebula but in different times. The piece is created with wool to mimic how space looks, it gives the impression of being soft and gentle. This work shows the differences between the two eras. As the first one is a representation of a photograph taken in 1880 and the second is a representation of a more recent image.

Mae fy ngwaith celf yn seiliedig ar wyddoniaeth a’r gofod, mae’n archwilio’r newidiadau sy’n datblygu yn y bydysawd ac mae damcaniaethau, ffeithiau a ffyrdd o feddwl gwahanol, yn dylanwadu arno. Drwy ymchwilio i’r gofod rwyf wedi archwilio llwybrau meddwl gwahanol.

Mae fy niddordeb pennaf yn ymwneud â sut mae technoleg wedi newid yn gyflym drwy edrych ar y ffordd roedd pobl yn teimlo am ddarganfyddiadau ar y dechrau a’r ffyrdd y byddwn yn eu gweld nhw nawr. Mae technoleg yn newid drwy’r amser ac, oherwydd hynny, gwelwn dwf cyson. Daw hyn i’r amlwg ar hyd ein hanes ac oherwydd hyn daw’r gofod yn fwy clir.

Er na fyddwn byth yn gallu creu’r ddelwedd berffaith, eto i gyd mae’n parhau i wella fel y gwnaeth drwy hanes i gyd ac â thechnoleg newydd yn datblygu. Gyda hwn rwyf wedi creu cymhariaeth o’r nifwl Orion ond mewn gwahanol amserau. Mae’r darn wedi’i greu â gwlân i ddynwared sut mae’r gofod yn edrych, mae’n rhoi’r argraff o fod yn feddal ac yn dyner. Mae’r gwaith yn dangos y gwahaniaethau rhwng y ddau gyfnod. Mae’r cyntaf yn cynrychioli ffotograff a dynnwyd yn 1880 ac mae’r ail yn gynrychiolaeth o ddelwedd fwy diweddar.

We have never been so connected yet so alone. The internet has become integral to our daily lives, no element of our existence seems untouched by it. But have we been caught and paralysed in the web? We are constantly on display and exposed, yet anonymous. We seem to...

I would describe my art as confessional; I take inspiration from my life events and feelings surrounding these experiences, I translate this through my work. I see my practice as a portal from my life in which I can lose myself and explore the deepest truths of my...

I have recently been exploring ideas related to the home and memory, and how they form identity. I am interested in how to defy the imperative to follow a linear structure in personal narrative and instead look for a more honest depiction of memory, which is itself...
