Elin Angharad Evans

BA (Hons) Artist Designer Maker

Your Wearers Trace

I am a process driven maker who has a passion for working with leather. Leather has the ability to become more beautiful with age, so I have chosen to combine old and new leather in my work. My designs utilise leather and bit pieces from shire horse saddlery that is no longer wanted due to the evolution of machinery and the accessibility of new products today.

I look forward to how the new leather will age alongside its older counterpart, and how this aging can tell a story. Scars, stretch marks and branding marks are not removed but celebrated in my leather work.
