From Body to Mind: Empathic Ceramics

With this generation as with many before it, anguish over mental health is an issue that affects the population both old and young. My work is designed with the mental disorder of anxiety in mind, to demonstrate the physical and emotional struggle one person goes through when experiencing a panic attack. The aim is to encourage awareness of mental health disorders, and to serve as a reminder that an artists voice can be utilised as a platform to promote positivity, as a creative way to serve others, as well as the artists themselves.

I’r genhedlaeth hon, fel llawer o’i blaen hi, mae gofidio am iechyd meddwl yn fater sy’n effeithio ar y boblogaeth hen ac ifanc. Dyluniwyd fy ngwaith gydag anhwylder meddwl gorbryder mewn golwg, i ddangos y frwydr gorfforol ac emosiynol y mae un person yn ei dioddef wrth brofi pwl o banig. Y nod yw annog ymwybyddiaeth o anhwylderau iechyd meddwl, ac i’n hatgoffa y gellir defnyddio llais artist fel llwyfan i hyrwyddo positifrwydd, fel ffordd greadigol i wasanaethu eraill, yn ogystal â’r artistiaid eu hunain.
