The collection has been inspired by fairytales and sweets such as love hearts, flumps and bubbs, whilst looking at global street styles such as Tokyo and the Harajuku girls. Tokyo has always been my dream destination as of its quirky and vibrant fashion trends and I wanted to embed my own personal style into this and create a mash up, using a bright and playful colour palette from the sweet influence.

The aim of the collection is to escape reality and take people to a dreamland through the use of contemporary textiles playing a main role and the exaggerated silhouette shapes. The focus on attention to detail was of importance as I wanted to create intricate free machine embroidery to show beautiful textures to exhibit that element of fantasy and romance. This final collection allowed me to think more innovatively and creatively by taking risks and experimenting with new techniques and processes.

Mae’r casgliad wedi’i ysbrydoli gan storïau tylwyth teg a losin megis calonnau cariad, flumps a bubbs, a thrwy edrych ar arddulliau stryd byd-eang megis Tokyo a’r merched Harajuku. Bu Tokyo bob amser yn gyrchfan fy mreuddwydion o ran ei thueddiadau ffasiwn hynod a bywiog ac roeddwn am ymwreiddio fy arddull bersonol fy hun yn hyn o beth a chreu cymysgedd, gan ddefnyddio palet lliwiau llachar a chwareus o ddylanwad y losin.

Nod y casgliad yw danc rhag realiti a mynd â phobl i wlad llawn breuddwydion trwy ddefnyddio tecstilau cyfoes sy’n chwarae prif rôl a siapiau silwét gormodol. Roedd ffocysu ar roi sylw i fanylder yn bwysig gan yr oeddwn eisiau creu brodwaith peiriant rhydd i ddangos gweadau prydferth i ddangos yr elfen honno o ffantasi a rhamant. Galluogodd y casgliad terfynol hwn i mi feddwl yn fwy arloesol a chreadigol trwy gymryd risgiau ac arbrofi â thechnegau a phrosesau newydd.
