Humanity’s disconnection from nature and animals is consistently highlighted throughout my work, by subtly focusing on our destructive behaviour and global issues we face. I attempt to bring collages to life through costume design and filmmaking.

The film and series of images ‘That really get’s my goat!’ playfully refers to animal and human behaviours and how animals are treated by us- or in this case, how we are treated by animals. Through reversing the roles of animals and humans in the film, I hope to reflect the absurdity of human behaviour and unnecessary domination towards animals.

This project on animal behaviours consists of a series of films, collages and paintings that all evolve around the masks. Each animal mask becomes characterised throughout the project and represents attitudes and actions that reflect human behaviour.

Other short films from this project focus on one mask/character whereas the film ‘That really get’s my goat!’ is a combination video of all characters together that play a role in the short story.

Through the bright colour pallet and playful narrative, this film and series of images asks viewers to question their actions and start conversations about what needs to change in the world today. Hopefully the film will encourage people to live more harmoniously with nature.

Amlygir datgysylltiad dynoliaeth rhag natur ac anifeiliaid yn gyson trwy gydol fy ngwaith, trwy ganolbwyntio’n gynnil ar ein hymddygiad dinistriol a’r materion byd-eang yr ydym yn eu hwynebu. Rwy’n ceisio dod â gludweithiau’n fyw trwy ddylunio gwisgoedd a gwneud ffilmiau.

Mae’r ffilm a chyfres o ddelweddau ‘That really get’s my goat!’ yn cyfeirio’n chwareus at ymddygiadau anifeiliaid a phobl a sut mae anifeiliaid yn cael eu trin gennym – neu yn yr achos hwn sut rydym ni’n cael ein trin gan anifeiliaid. Trwy wrthdroi rôl anifeiliaid a phobl yn y ffilm, rwy’n gobeithio adlewyrchu gwiriondeb ymddygiad dynol a dominyddu anifeiliaid heb angen.

Mae’r prosiect hwn ar ymddygiadau anifeiliaid yn cynnwys cyfres o ffilmiau, gludweithiau a phaentiadau sydd i gyd yn esblygu o gwmpas y mygydau. Caiff pob mwgwd ei nodweddu trwy gydol y prosiect ac mae’n cynrychioli agweddau a gweithredoedd sy’n adlewyrchu ymddygiad dynol.

Mae ffilmiau byrion eraill yn canolbwyntio ar un mwgwd/cymeriad ond mae’r ffilm ‘That really get’s my goat!’ yn fideo sy’n dod â’r holl gymeriadau y maent yn chwarae rôl yn y stori fer ynghyd.

Trwy’r palet lliwiau llachar a naratif chwareus, mae’r ffilm a chyfres o ddelweddau yn gofyn i wylwyr gwestiynau eu gweithredoedd a chychwyn sgyrsiau am yr hyn sydd angen ei newid yn y byd heddiw. Y gobaith yw y bydd y ffilm yn annog pobl i fyw mewn cytgord cynyddol â natur.
