The Green Books:- The Millennium’s Life Guidebooks

On the occasion of the anniversary of ‘The Green Books’ occurrence, the Literacy Department under the International Culture of Society has selected several issues from their archives to be displayed to the public for the first time.

Containing copper arsenite within its green pigments, the guidebooks had left many to suffer from the symptoms of poisoning, and resulted in many casualties. The books were believed to have been distributed by an unknown publishing group, whom are still under investigation for their acts of ‘Chemical Terrorism’ throughout the globe.

It is known that ‘The Green Books’ were made and distributed by hand, and had only spread in numbers by word of mouth. Though there are no confirmed leads to their maker or purpose, many still try to decipher the contents of these books.

I have recently been exploring ideas related to the home and memory, and how they form identity. I am interested in how to defy the imperative to follow a linear structure in personal narrative and instead look for a more honest depiction of memory, which is itself...
