I believe that art is a remarkable tool for expressing ourselves, telling our stories, setting our values and preserving our heritage without sticking to the past. I love presenting and redesigning traditional motifs with a touch of modernity using neutral palettes. Usually, I make digital prints and I really enjoy working digitally to save time and effort and trying out lots of layouts and colours.

I had such a wonderful journey Trying out different things and doing lots of experiments like screen printing, dying, stitching digitally and by hand. Lots of fun and helpful techniques to support my future work.

For my work, I was inspired by the old architectural element that was a wooden window covering the façade of the building in the past, which usually contains Islamic motifs in Alhegaz region of Saudi Arabia.

Rwy’n credu bod celf yn arf anhygoel i fynegi ein hunain, adrodd ein storïau, gosod ein gwerthoedd a chadw ein treftadaeth heb lynu wrth y gorffennol. Rwy’n dwlu ar gyflwyno ac ailddylunio motifau traddodiadol gyda thipyn bach o naws fodern gan ddefnyddio paletau niwtral. Fel arfer, rwy’n creu printiau digidol ac rwy’n mwynhau gweithio’n ddigidol yn fawr i arbed amser ac ymdrech a rhoi cynnig ar lawer o gynlluniau a lliwiau.

Ces i daith anhygoel yn rhoi cynnig ar bethau gwahanol a gwneud llawer o arbrofion fel printio sgrîn, lliwio, pwytho’n ddigidol ac â llaw. Llawer o hwyl a thechnegau defnyddiol i gefnogi fy ngwaith yn y dyfodol.

Ar gyfer fy ngwaith ces i fy ysbrydoli gan yr elfen o hen bensaernïaeth a oedd yn ffenest bren dros flaen yr adeilad yn y gorffennol, sydd fel arfer yn cynnwys motifau Moslemaidd yn rhanbarth Alhegaz, Saudi Arabia.
