Skin/Hair/Inside
Social practices encourage us to smooth the skin and cover orifices. This allows us to ignore the human body as natural and organic. I am interested in social reaction and fear towards the Abject body. By displaying what we avoid showing, I aim to question why we do so.
Here this is done through the use of film and photography in a confrontational format. The image is abstract and manipulated slightly to show it in an aesthetically pleasing way. There is no reason to fear these images. The human body is beautiful.
