BA (Hons) Artist Designer Maker

I am an artist designer maker with an interest in jewellery, community, and sustainability. I aim to create a business in which I sell my jewellery alongside other likeminded creators, as well as offering workshops in which people can learn to make items that are sustainable and have a personal connection to them.

My birds are made with resin and are silver leafed. In their beaks they hold a silver mounted pewter stone. These organic pewter forms are cast by pouring over rock salt, creating meteorite like shapes.

All my jewellery is created out of recycled materials. I was inspired by the symbolism of birds finding objects to create new nests, something that parallels the journey a student takes once they leave home.

Rwy’n artist dylunydd gwneuthurwr gyda diddordeb mewn gemwaith, cymuned a chynaliadwyedd. Rwy’n anelu at greu busnes lle rwy’n gwerthu fy ngemwaith ochr yn ochr â chrewyr eraill o’r un anian, yn ogystal â chynnig gweithdai lle gall pobl ddysgu sut i wneud eitemau sy’n gynaliadwy ac sydd â chysylltiad personol â nhw.

Mae fy adar wedi eu gwneud â resin a’u gorchuddio â deilen arian. Yn eu pigau maent yn dal carreg biwter wedi’i osod o arian. Mae’r ffurfiau piwter organig hyn yn cael eu bwrw trwy arllwys halen craig drosto, gan greu siapiau tebyg i feteoryn.

Mae fy holl emwaith yn cael ei greu allan o ddeunyddiau wedi’u hailgylchu. Cefais fy ysbrydoli gan symbolaeth adar yn dod o hyd i wrthrychau i greu nythod newydd, rhywbeth sy’n cyfateb i daith myfyriwr ar ôl gadael cartref.
