BA (Hons) Product Design

I am fascinated by how quickly our society evolves. I think there is a need to explore what hasn’t been discovered in the design industry. There is a constant hunger to satisfy society with innovation and a constant need for introduction to new ideas and concepts that will eventually change a client’s way of life and therefore it will leave a powerful embedded message. I look for the gaps in the market, so that my products stand out from the rest. I try to make clients understand and feel the same way I felt while designing and manufacturing my product making it easy for me to relate to them and have a good level of empathy as a designer. Within my designs I always aim to create a product that will instantly be memorable to the customer, therefore these products stand out because they look unique and one of a kind, allowing me as designer to generate a sense of curiosity over my personal products, and allowing me to try to establish a personal connection with them.

Rwy’n rhyfeddu pa mor gyflym mae ein cymdeithas yn esblygu. Rwy’n credu bod angen ymchwilio i’r hyn sydd heb ei ddarganfod yn y diwydiant dylunio. Mae yna awydd cyson i fodloni cymdeithas gyda dyfeisgarwch ac angen cyson i gyflwyno syniadau a chysyniadau newydd a fydd yn newid ffordd cleient o fyw maes o law ac felly bydd yn gadael neges sefydledig bwerus. Rwy’n chwilio am y bylchau yn y farchnad, fel bod fy nghynhyrchion ben ac ysgwydd uwchlaw’r gweddill. Rwy’n ceisio gwneud i gleientiaid ddeall a theimlo fel yr oeddwn i’n teimlo wrth ddylunio a gweithgynhyrchu fy nghynnyrch gan ei gwneud hi’n hawdd i mi uniaethu â nhw a chael lefel dda o empathi fel dylunydd. Fy nod bob amser yn fy nyluniadau yw creu cynnyrch a fydd yn gofiadwy i’r cwsmer ar unwaith, felly mae’r cynhyrchion hyn yn hoelio sylw gan eu bod yn unigryw o ran eu golwg ac yn wahanol i bopeth arall, gan fy ngalluogi i fel dylunydd i greu ymdeimlad o chwilfrydedd am fy nghynnyrch personol, a’m galluogi i geisio sefydlu cysylltiad personol gyda nhw.

Rendered finished prototype of our circular economy work environment furniture. Adaptable for different scenarios and diverse workspaces. This was part of a team collaboration for a competition where our design got shortlisted and a few of us got the chance to travel to Dublin for the awards ceremony.

Prototeip gorffenedig wedi’i rendro o’n dodrefn economi gylchol ar gyfer amgylchedd gwaith. Gellir ei addasu ar gyfer senarios gwahanol ac amrywiaeth o weithleoedd. Roedd hyn yn rhan o gydweithrediad tîm ar gyfer cystadleuaeth lle cafodd ein dyluniad ei roi ar y rhestr fer a chafodd rhai ohonom gyfle i deithio i Ddulyn ar gyfer y seremoni wobrwyo.

New cardboard packaging designed for The Parsnipship company in order to optimize the selling of their vegetarian/vegan muffins.

Pecynnau cardbord newydd a gynlluniwyd ar gyfer cwmni The Parsnipship er mwyn gwneud y gorau o werthu eu myffins llysieuol/figan.

Redesigned protein shakers. This shaker allows the user to carry 2 types of drinks thanks to a second container made out of stainless steel inside the main body. This shaker is aimed to any sports enthusiast who wants to keep hydrated and at the same time consume supplements on the go.

Ysgydwyr protein wedi’u hailgynllunio. Mae’r ysgydwr hwn yn galluogi’r defnyddiwr i gario 2 fath o ddiod, oherwydd ail gynhwysydd wedi’i wneud o ddur gwrthstaen y tu mewn i’r prif gorff. Mae’r ysgydwr hwn wedi’i anelu at unrhyw fabolgampwyr sydd eisiau hydradu yn ogystal â chymryd atchwanegiadau ar yr un pryd pan maen nhw allan o’u cartref.

These are several pages worth of sketches researching different possibilities and designs for my scrum-cap idea. I was exploring different styles and different ways in which the padding is placed on the scrum-cap, in order to get a better understanding which parts of the head are protected by the padding provided by the scrum-cap.

Dyma nifer o dudalennau o frasluniau yn ymchwilio i bosibiliadau gwahanol a dyluniadau ar gyfer fy syniad am gap sgrym. Roeddwn yn archwilio arddulliau gwahanol a ffyrdd gwahanol y mae’r padin yn cael ei osod ar y cap sgrym, er mwyn cael dealltwriaeth well ynghylch pa rannau o’r pen sy’n cael eu gwarchod gan y padin yn y cap sgrym.
