Caerau: The Community

A take on the Grayson Perry piece ‘A Map of Days’ with a personal relation to my local community, Caerau. Areas in and around the community correspond to my life events, with a light hearted approach to experiences and emotions growing up here. This map represents togetherness, with the intention of all viewers relating to the piece one way or another. Whether that be sharing a laugh at what you see, or reminiscing on the past.

A large hand drawn map with white Ink. Drawn from observation and individually composed to create a large scale map.

Dehongliad o’r darn ‘A Map of Days’ gan Grayson Perry, gan gysylltu’n bersonol â fy nghymuned leol, Caerau. Mae ardaloedd yn y gymuned a’r cylch yn cyfateb i fy nigwyddiadau bywyd, gydag ymagwedd hwyliog i brofiadau ac emosiynau wrth dyfu i fyny yma. Mae’r map hwn yn cynrychioli bod gyda’n gilydd, gyda bwriadau’r holl wylwyr yn gysylltu â’r darn un ffordd na’r llall. Boed hynny chwerthin gyda’ch gilydd am yr hyn rydych yn ei weld, neu hel atgofion am y gorffennol.

Map mawr a dynnwyd â llaw gydag Inc gwyn. Wedi’i dynnu o arsylwi a’i gyfansoddi’n unigol i greu map graddfa fawr.
