I am a mixed-wear, luxury fashion designer, specialising in textile print. My inspiration to become a fashion designer was destined after years sat amongst my nan’s twelve sewing machines, sketching extreme gowns that I dreamed of creating. Clothes have always empowered and added excitement to my personality, with shape and drape intriguing my gaze, and encouraging me to configure how clothes are created.

Gucci and Dolce and Gabbana are designers that have influenced my aesthetic, with their extreme embellishments creating excessive fashion appealing to the eccentric. Alessandro Michelle, the director of Gucci has also inspired me personally with his mystical themes stimulating the collections.

I am heavily inspired by mysticism and astrology within my practice. These themes have developed from having a mother practising wicca, and claiming to sense spirit, which transported me to a world more magical than our own. My graduate collection is inspired by this mystical universe, with feelings of romanticism and love creating the core theme.

With covid presenting uncertainty, and loneliness, people seek answers. One of the many answers being ‘when will I find love?’ Astrology can combat the difficult question of romantic compatibility through natal charts, ultimately providing hope. This prosperous world astrology offers is a place of clarity, and peacefulness, opposed to the chaos of today, a haven my collection aims to create.

Rwy’n ddylunydd ffasiwn moethus gwisgoedd cymysg, sy’n arbenigo mewn print tecstilau. Roedd fy ysbrydoliaeth i fod yn ddylunydd ffasiwn yn dynged blynyddoedd o eistedd ymhlith deuddeg peiriant gwnïo fy nain/mam-gu, gan fraslunio gwnau eithafol yr oeddwn yn breuddwydio eu creu. Mae dillad bob amser wedi grymuso ac ychwanegu cyffro at fy mhersonoliaeth, gyda siâp a sut roedd ffabrig yn hongian yn ennyn fy niddordeb, a’m hannog i ffurfweddu sut mae dillad yn cael eu creu.

Y dylunwyr Gucci a Dolce a Gabbana sydd wedi dylanwadu ar fy esthetig, gyda’u cynnwys eithafol yn creu ffasiwn eithafol sy’n apelio at yr ecsentrig. Mae Alessandro Michelle, cyfarwyddwr Gucci hefyd wedi fy ysbrydoli’n bersonol gyda’i themâu cyfriniol yn ysgogi’r casgliadau.

Rwy’n cael fy ysbrydoli’n drwm gan y cyfriniol ac astroleg o fewn fy ymarfer. Mae’r themâu hyn wedi datblygu o gael mam sy’n ymarfer wicca, a hawlio ysbryd synnwyr, a’m cludodd i fyd sy’n fwy hudolus na’n byd ni. Ysbrydolir fy nghasgliad graddedig gan y bydysawd cyfriniol hwn, gyda theimladau o ramantiaeth a chariad yn creu’r thema graidd.

Gyda COVID yn cyflwyno ansicrwydd, ac unigrwydd, mae pobl yn chwilio am atebion. Un o’r atebion niferus yw ‘pryd fydda i’n dod o hyd i gariad?’ Gall Astroleg fynd i’r afael â chwestiwn anodd cydnawsedd rhamantus drwy siartiau geni, gan roi gobaith yn y pen draw. Mae’r byd llewyrchus a gynigir gan astroleg yn un o eglurder, a heddwch, yn hytrach nag anhrefn heddiw, hafan y mae fy nghasgliad yn anelu at ei chreu.
