I made my first short film ‘A Star Wars Thriller’ aged 8 animating figures to Michael Jacksons Thriller on a Sony Ericsson phone. Sixteen years later and my desire for Animation has never been stronger.

My dad and I would have late-night movie marathons together and from as young as 3, there’s nothing I’ve ever needed to do more than to create. I would convince my brother into making films with me to show my dad and he’d always seem so proud of me. Without my dad, I wouldn’t know what I’d had done with my life and that’s why my passion will never die. I’m always trying to make him proud.

Stop Motion Animation is something that came naturally to me. My main goals after university are to work within a studio building anything from sets or props to puppets and to also work as an animator. The feeling of bringing an idea to life from paper to screen and physically having a part in that creative process is something that will never, not bring a smile to me. Working on my major project has cemented that and enabled me to grow my skills to a place where I would love to learn all I can. The building work and bringing my character to the living has made these hard times during the pandemic a little happier and I can’t wait to continue to expand my knowledge and skills in industry.


Fe greais fy ffilm fer gyntaf ‘A Star Wars Thriller’ yn 8 mlwydd oed, gan animeiddio ffigurau i Thriller gan Michael Jackson ar ffôn Sony Ericsson. Un mlynedd ar bymtheg wedi hynny, nid yw fy nymuniad am Animeiddio erioed wedi bod yn gryfach.

Byddai fy nhad a fi’n cael marathonau ffilmiau hwyr gyda’i gilydd ac o’r oedran cynnar o 3 blwydd oed, bu angen cryf ynof i greu. Byddwn yn darbwyllo fy mrawd i wneud ffilmiau gyda mi i ddangos i fy nhad a byddai bob amser i’w weld mor falch ohonof. Heb fy nhad, dw i ddim yn gwybod beth y byddwn wedi’i wneud gyda fy mywyd a dyna pam na fydd fy angerdd byth yn marw. Rwyf bob amser yn ceisio ei wneud yn falch.

Mae Animeiddio Stopsymud yn rhywbeth a ddaeth yn naturiol i mi. Fy mhrif nodau ar ôl y brifysgol yw gweithio mewn stiwdio i adeiladu unrhyw beth o setiau neu bropiau i bypedau ac i weithio fel animeiddiwr hefyd. Mae’r teimlad o ddod â syniad yn fyw o’r papur i’r sgrin a chymryd rhan yn gorfforol yn y broses greadigol honno yn rhywbeth a fydd bob amser yn rhoi gwên ar fy wyneb. Mae gweithio ar fy mhrif brosiect wedi cadarnhau hynny a fy ngalluogi i dyfu fy sgiliau i fan lle byddwn wrth fy modd yn dysgu popeth a allaf. Mae’r gwaith adeiladu a dod â fy nghymeriadau’n fyw wedi gwneud yr amseroedd caled hyn yn ystod y pandemig ychydig yn hapusach ac ni allaf aros am barhau i ehangu fy ngwybodaeth a fy sgiliau yn y diwydiant.
