BA (Hons) Artist Designer Maker

I am a Maker with a focus on creating jewellery in the medium of polymer clay. I combine these pieces with hypoallergenic findings to create unique, lightweight earrings that can be worn by all.

This project is an exploration of creating a series of polymer clay jewellery bowls with integrated pieces of jewellery, which is accompanied by a collection of jewellery that draws inspiration from the circular shapes of the jewellery bowls.

As this collection mainly focuses on shape and form, I have kept the surface decoration on the clay minimal. What little decoration there is, is only there to compliment the circular forms but not to distract from the importance of the shapes.

Rwy’n Grëwr sy’n ffocysu ar greu gemwaith trwy gyfrwng clai polymer. Rwy’n cyfuno’r darnau hyn gyda thlyswaith hypoalergenaidd i greu clustdlysau unigryw ac ysgafn y gall pawb eu gwisgo.

Mae’r prosiect hwn yn ymchwilio i greu cyfres o bowlenni clai polymer gyda darnau tlyswaith integredig, sy’n dod gyda chasgliad o dlyswaith sy’n galw ar ysbrydoliaeth siapiau cylchol y powlenni tlyswaith.

Gan fod y casgliad hwn yn canolbwyntio’n bennaf ar siâp a ffurf, rwyf wedi cadw’r addurniad arwyneb ar y clai mor fach â phosib. Mae’r ychydig o addurniad sydd yno yn bodoli dim ond i weddu i’r ffurfiau cylchol ond ddim i dynnu sylw o bwysigrwydd y siapiau.
