My series of work is an exploration of a mindful phenomena.
I aim to successfully understand a mindful practise that combines art and meditation.
Something beneficial to my well-being, physically and mentally.

My work relies on techniques that are methodical, repetitive and therapeutic.
Processes that reflect the awareness and repetition we find in meditation.
By exploring this alongside theories such as breath psychotherapy,
I can achieve a state where I am more mindful, allowing me to create a mark in one motion.
The mark is unique to that moment, that breath and that state of mind.

The process I must take to create a piece is crucial.
Each step, the preparation and the materials I use, all lead up to one expressive mark.
A better state of mind.
An Enso circle – perfectly depicting a moment of mindful creativity.

I want my practise to become a way of living.
Something that heals me, calms me and focuses my mind.
It needs to become a way of escaping the external world.
The concept is simple and should be viewed in the same way.
I want the viewer to purely look at my work with ease, tranquillity and clarity.
No deeper meaning or extreme message.
Just a simple expression of a mindful state and a meditative process.

I do not aim to perfect the practise of meditation.
But want to learn and develop my own knowledge and skill.
Simply to explore a mindful way of making art.

Mae fy nghyfres o waith yn ystyried ffenomen ystyriol.
Fy nod yw dod i ddeall ymarfer ystyrlon sy’n cyfuno celf a myfyrdod. Rhywbeth sydd yn fuddiol i fy lleisiant, yn gorfforol ac yn feddyliol.

Mae fy ngwaith yn dibynnu ar dechnegau trefnus, sy’n ail-adroddus ac yn therapiwtig. Prosesau sy’n adlewyrchu’r ymwybyddiaeth a’r ailadrodd a gawn wrth fyfyrio. O ystyried hyn ochr yn ochr â damcaniaethau megis seicotherapi anadlu, gallaf gyrraedd cyflwr lle dw i’n fwy ystyriol, gan ganiatáu i mi greu marc mewn un symudiad.
Mae’r marc hwnnw yn unigryw i’r foment honno, yr anadl hwnnw a’r cyflwr meddwl hwnnw.

Mae’r broses y mae rhaid i mi ei defnyddio i greu darn yn hollbwysig.
Mae pob cam, y paratoi a’r deunyddiau dw i’n eu defnyddio i gyd yn arwain at un marc mynegiannol.
Cyflwr meddwl gwell.
Cylch Enso – yn darlunio’r foment o greadigrwydd ystyrlon yn berffaith

Rydw i am i fy ymarfer ddatblygu’n ffordd o fyw.
Rhywbeth sy’n fy iacháu, sy’n fy nhawelu ac yn ffocysu fy meddwl.
Rhaid iddo ddod yn fodd o ddianc rhag y byd allanol.
Mae’r cysyniad yn syml a dylid edrych arno yn yr un modd
Dw i am i’r gwyliwr edrych ar fy ngwaith yn ddibryder, mewn llonyddwch a gydag eglurder.
Heb unrhyw ystyr ddyfnach na neges eithafol.
Dim ond mynegiant syml o gyflwr ystyrlon a phroses fyfyriol.

Nid perffeithio’r ymarfer o fyfyrio ydy fy nod.
Ond dw i am ddysgu a datblygu fy ngwybodaeth a fy sgil fy hun .
Dim ond i archwilio dull ystyrlon o greu celf

My work explores the relationship between a space and the art in it. I have become intrigued by how a painting can effect a space, exploring corporate art, it can be used to influence productivity and creativity in that environment. With influence from Colour Theory,...

I create detailed portraiture paintings that take a view of the uncanny, the subconscious, and the unconscious mind. I use acrylic paint to create my pieces but have recently been exploring oil paint and mixed media. I enjoy using the fluidity of the mediums and...

We have never been so connected yet so alone. The internet has become integral to our daily lives, no element of our existence seems untouched by it. But have we been caught and paralysed in the web? We are constantly on display and exposed, yet anonymous. We seem to...

My work is currently exploring texture and abstraction, with acrylic paint being my main medium through the repetitive motion of building layers. I am presently experimenting with wallpaper and plaster, by layering through a variety of applications, such as sanding,...

I would describe my art as confessional; I take inspiration from my life events and feelings surrounding these experiences, I translate this through my work. I see my practice as a portal from my life in which I can lose myself and explore the deepest truths of my...

I have recently been exploring ideas related to the home and memory, and how they form identity. I am interested in how to defy the imperative to follow a linear structure in personal narrative and instead look for a more honest depiction of memory, which is itself...
