This series of works represents a culmination of the studies I have made whilst exploring my own concerns of the human condition through different disciplines over the course of my degree. These mundane human processes of breathing, coughing, swallowing, mastication and salivation are all automatic mechanical actions, displayed through my videos to express the oral fixation and fetishisation of the female mouth and body. I am influenced by the role of formlessness within visual arts, alongside my focus on Freudian theory on the fear of mortality. The overall aim of the work is to evoke an uncanny sensation within the viewer.
