Katie Mary Jane Stallard

BA (Hons) Textiles

I am a Textile designer with a love of surface pattern and illustrative design.

Specialising in both hand drawn and digitally rendered design work, I combine my love of vibrant colour palettes, locational inspired themes and ecologically mindful practices to create conceptual, trendy and purposeful design collections that celebrate my creative journey from paint to paper. ‘A Botanic Escapade’ is a playfully vibrant botanical range that fits perfectly within the Women’s S/S 23 Garden Accessories market. Inspired by the location-based theme ‘Botanic Garden of Wales’, the nature-led collection of accessories truly celebrates the saturated floral and botanical landscapes that exist in Llanarthne, South Wales.

Embracing aspects from the WGSN ‘Into the Garden’ and ‘Womens Soft Accessories’ trends, the collection is driven by its connection to both nature and mindful creativity. Through the creation of practical, multi-purposeful accessories that indulge a whimsical use of colour, ‘A Botanic Escapade’ truly embraces a summer outdoor lifestyle through the use of soft fabrics and specialist hand rendered techniques.

Rwy’n ddylunydd tecstilau ac wrth fy modd gyda phatrwm arwyneb a dylunio darluniadol.

Gan arbenigo mewn gwaith dylunio wedi’i dynnu â llaw ac wedi’i greu’n ddigidol, rwy’n cyfuno fy hoffter o baledau lliw bywiog, themâu wedi’u hysbrydoli gan leoliad ac arferion sy’n ystyriol yn ecolegol i greu casgliadau dylunio cysyniadol, ffasiynol a phwrpasol sy’n dathlu fy nhaith greadigol o baent i bapur. Mae ‘A Botanic Escapade’ yn gasgliad botanegol chwareus o fywiog sy’n gweddu’n berffaith i farchnad Ategolion Gardd S/S 23 i Ferched. Wedi’i ysbrydoli gan thema sy’n seiliedig ar leoliad, sef ‘Gardd Fotaneg Cymru’, mae’r casgliad o ategolion a arweinir gan natur yn ddathliad go iawn o’r tirweddau blodeuol a botanegol toreithiog sydd yn Llanarthne.

Gan groesawu agweddau o ffasiynau diweddaraf ‘Into the Garden’ a ‘Womens Soft Accessories’ WGSN, mae’r casgliad yn cael ei sbarduno gan ei gysylltiad â natur a chreadigrwydd ystyriol. Drwy greu ategolion ymarferol, amlbwrpas sy’n gwneud defnydd chwareus o liw, mae ‘A Botanic Escapade’ yn croesawu ffordd o fyw awyr agored yn yr haf drwy ddefnyddio ffabrigau meddal a thechnegau creu â llaw arbenigol.
