Parkinson’s disease is a progressive neurological condition. People tend to think of Parkinson’s as being an old person’s disease. However, whilst the disease affects one in 100 people over age 60, some people are diagnosed at 40 or younger. Having Parkinson’s can feel overwhelming if you don’t have the right information and support. This project aims to reach more people and change public attitudes towards the condition whilst also raising awareness of the services and support available to anyone affected by the condition including friends and family.

Cyflwr niwrolegol cynyddol yw clefyd Parkinson. Mae pobl yn tueddu i feddwl am glefyd Parkinson fel clefyd hen bobl. Fodd bynnag, er bod y clefyd yn effeithio ar un person o bob 100 sydd dros 60 oed, caiff rhai pobl ddiagnosis pan fyddant yn 40 oed neu’n iau. Gall cael clefyd Parkinson fod yn llethol os na chewch y wybodaeth a’r cymorth cywir. Nod y prosiect hwn yw cyrraedd mwy o bobl a newid agweddau’r cyhoedd tuag at y cyflwr ynghyd â chodi ymwybyddiaeth o’r gwasanaethau a’r cymorth sydd ar gael i unrhyw un y mae’r cyflwr yn effeithio arnynt yn cynnwys ffrindiau a theulu.
