Echo-chambers
‘People don’t talk, people don’t talk about politics, people don’t discuss the things that matter and affect us all. People are too afraid to do that. To afraid that they’ll be judged or worse offend someone with their opinion. Society encourages this, the people who have the money want people to feel like the minority when really, they are in the majority.’

Echo-chambers is a series of works in response to the current sociopolitical climate globally and at home. Social media is playing an ever-increasing role in our daily lives and our societal function. Social media is massively aiding the huge polarization we are seeing within society today.
The work aims to make the viewer reflect and consider what role within the echo-chamber they are playing, do they take the option to unfriend someone when they see something they don’t like shared? Or do they engage and listen to why a person feels differently to them?
