Naomi Bennet

BA (Hons) Illustration

My work is sensitive to how things feel. I create illustrations that connect to the audience through combining familiar experiences and new fantastical places to explore. I am responding to the challenge of making work to make life feel better. Pulling the viewer along through sequences of shifting perspectives, and drawing energy from the materiality of paint, my images are both dreamlike and dynamic. My work explores our connection to the world, nature, navigating life, metaphor and storytelling.

Mae fy ngwaith yn sensitif i sut mae pethau’n teimlo. Rwy’n creu darluniau sy’n cysylltu â’r gynulleidfa drwy gyfuno profiadau cyfarwydd a lleoedd ffantastig newydd i’w harchwilio. Rwy’n ymateb i’r her o greu gwaith i wneud i fywyd deimlo’n well. Gan dywys y gwyliwr drwy ddilyniannau o safbwyntiau sy’n symud, a sugno egni o fateroldeb paent, mae fy nelweddau’n freuddwydiol ac yn ddynamig. Mae fy ngwaith yn archwilio ein cysylltiad â’r byd, natur, llywio’n ffordd drwy fywyd, trosiadau ac adrodd straeon.
