My practice is rooted in combining sound, experience and objects. The aim of my work is to stimulate senses other than the visual by creating interactive objects that enable people to be both actor and receptor in an experience of resonant sound. Translating these ideas into materials of wood and metal allows me to highlight certain physical characteristics and forms to create a symphony of sounds when the viewer interacts with the work. This symphony is then transformed into the physical, breaking the fourth wall to immerse a viewer within an interaction, in which a visceral experience takes place.

Mae fy ymarfer yn seiliedig ar gyfuno sain, profiad a gwrthrychau. Nod fy ngwaith yw ysgogi synhwyrau heblaw’r gweledol trwy greu gwrthrychau rhyngweithiol sy’n galluogi person i fod yn weithredwr ac yn dderbynnydd mewn profiad o sain cyseiniol. Mae trosi’r syniadau hyn yn ddeunyddiau pren a metel yn caniatáu i mi dynnu sylw at rai nodweddion a ffurfiau ffisegol i greu symffoni o synau pan fydd y gwyliwr yn rhyngweithio â’r gwaith. Yna caiff y symffoni ei thrawsnewid i’r ffisegol, gan dorri’r bedwaredd wal i drochi gwyliwr o fewn rhyngweithiad, lle mae profiad dwfn yn digwydd.
