I believe that passion is a key ingredient in being a successful designer. By having a keen eye for detail and innovative design, it allows me to create useful products that are functional yet beautiful.
Whilst studying design I have adopted that great design is done by eliminating all unnecessary details, by doing this I design products that are more effective for the users.
The ability to transform imagination into reality really intrigues me, designing allows me to transfer my ideas into something visible and bring them into reality. Since studying design, I have started to see the world and what is in it with a different perspective, which gets me questioning day to day, why things are designed a certain way and how they can be improved.
By using my creativity and problem-solving skills, I can create innovative products that solve the user’s problems and specific needs. When designing I aim to create the best user experience possible. I do this by not only creating beautifully designed products, but by adding fine details while keeping simplicity in mind, this could be done with the materials and textures on a product, the way that a dial turns or a button clicks, these details create an enjoyable experience for the user. Less Is More.

A Speaker inspired by the brand Bose, this was by far one of my favourite projects I have done to date. I Enjoyed learning how to design with the brand in mind and researching the various materials and textures that they use. My aim was to create a simple yet modern speaker that could be used in any home.

Fe wnes i fwynhau dysgu sut i ddylunio gyda’r brand mewn cof, ac ymchwilio i’r deunyddiau a’r gweadau amrywiol y maent yn eu defnyddio. One thing I really enjoy when designing a product is creating the fine details. When designing a speaker inspired by Bose I got to learn how to create a user friendly interface by creating buttons that are aligned with their brand. These details really make the products aesthetic simple yet beautiful.
Un peth rwyf wir yn ei fwynhau wrth ddylunio cynnyrch yw creu’r mân fanylion. Wrth ddylunio seinydd wedi’i ysbrydoli gan Bose, dysgais sut i greu rhyngwyneb hawdd ei ddefnyddio trwy greu botymau sy’n gyson â’u brand. Mae’r manylion hyn wir yn gwneud y cynhyrchion yn syml yn esthetig, ond eto’n hardd.
ideation is one of my favourite parts of the design process this is where I get to put all my initial ideas onto paper. In this image I have some sketches from my minor project where I have been working on a solution that combines a sound system and ambient lighting that can be used within a home. I have looked at adding some features to the lamp such as a table making the product perfect to use besides a chair or settee.

Yn y ddelwedd hon, mae gen i nifer o frasluniau o’m prosiect llai lle bûm yn gweithio ar ateb sy’n cyfuno system sain gyda goleuadau amgylchynol y gellir ei defnyddio mewn cartref. Rwyf wedi edrych ar ychwanegu nifer o nodweddion at y lamp, fel bwrdd, gan wneud y cynnyrch yn berffaith i’w ddefnyddio yn ymyl sedd neu soffa.
Here is a close up of the table that is attached to the lamp. Using keyshot I have added a LED touch interface which includes all the buttons needed to control the speaker and the lamp itself. I have also added a wireless charger to the top of the table where devices can be charged with no extra cables. The size of the table is perfect for placing drinks or remotes when sitting beside the lamp.
