My art practice is based off using my own photographs and editing images through different apps and creating self-portraits about the pressures of social media. My photograph’s are about the different pressures and the stereotype women face in today’s society on social media. I incorporate text within my graphic work to raise the awareness of each subject. The self portraits are about involving feminist art and to focus on the positive’s and negative’s about what online bring’s to your physical and mental health. An insight into the portraits may involve what is the ideal body image? For centuries women had to resort to all sorts of methods to reach a certain standard of their time from the way the look as trends evolve. The main idea with my work is about the process of changing the edits. I show this by recording my process with videos and to show a difference with none-edited and edited images, and the lengths people will go to changed there appearance or life style. My intention behind the artwork is to tell people to be more kind and aware of what they post and say online and to achieve only positivity on social media.

Mae’r hunanbortreadau yn ymwneud â chynnwys celf ffeministaidd a chanolbwyntio ar effeithiau positif a negyddol y byd ar-lein ar eich iechyd corfforol a meddyliol. Gall ystyried beth yw delwedd ddelfrydol y corff gynnig mewnwelediad i’r portreadau. Am ganrifoedd, bu’n rhaid i ferched droi at bob math o ddulliau i fodloni safon benodol eu hoes o ran edrychiad fel roedd tueddiadau’n esblygu. Mae prif syniad fy ngwaith yn ymwneud â’r broses o newid y golygu. Rwy’n dangos hyn drwy recordio fy mhroses ar fideo er mwyn dangos y gwahaniaeth rhwng delweddau heb eu golygu a delweddau wedi’u golygu, a pha mor bell mae pobl yn fodlon mynd i newid eu hedrychiad neu eu ffordd o fyw. Fy mwriad y tu ôl i’r gwaith celf yw dweud wrth bobl am fod yn garedicach ac yn fwy ymwybodol o’r hyn maen nhw’n ei bostio a’i ddweud ar-lein er mwyn sicrhau dim byd heblaw positifrwydd ar y cyfryngau cymdeithasol.
