With an increasing challenge to live happily in a massively ‘connected’ world, design must meet new kinds of concerns which focus upon meaning as much as function.

Design should be used meaningfully as much as it is economically. Designed things should ‘Do what they say on the tin’! Whilst bringing a socially responsible depth to research, development and implementation encouraging fulfilling interaction and purposeful engagement.

I aim to achieve this through utilising well considered, interactive, design processes and solutions. I work with user centred, Inclusive design methods with an overarching systems approach to design which takes product development into real scenarios. Tied together with an immersive research approach to give product development accurate design needs carried through to achievable manufacture.

I am able to navigate complexity in varying design contexts through the application of a thorough design process, piecing information together through common themes and varied evaluations, to converge on priority needs. With strong idea generation and discussion I apply my working experience and knowledge from construction and manufacture to bring design concepts into reality. Using my digital and practical agility to continually learn skills and techniques in the service of a design project.

Gyda’r her gynyddol o fyw’n hapus mewn byd hynod ‘gysylltiedig’, mae’n rhaid i ddylunio ateb mathau newydd o bryderon sy’n canolbwyntio ar ystyr yn gymaint â swyddogaeth.

Dylid defnyddio dylunio’n bwrpasol yn gymaint ag yn economaidd. Dylai pethau wedi’u dylunio ‘Wneud beth mae’n dweud ar y tun’! Gan ddod â dyfnder cymdeithasol gyfrifol at ymchwil, datblygu a gweithredu a chan annog ennyn diddordeb rhyngweithio llawn boddhad ac ennyn diddordeb pwrpasol.

Rwy’n ceisio cyflawni hyn trwy ddefnyddio prosesau a datrysiadau dylunio rhyngweithiol a ystyrir yn graff. Rwy’n gweithio gyda dulliau dylunio cynhwysol sy’n canolbwyntio ar y defnyddiwr gyda dull systemau trosgynnol o ddylunio sy’n mynd â datblygu cynnyrch i sefyllfaoedd go iawn. Wedi’i glymu ynghyd â dull ymchwil ymdrochol i roi anghenion dylunio datblygu cynnyrch cywir sydd wedi’u cario trwodd i gynhyrchu y gellir ei gyflawni.

Gallaf lywio rhwng cymhlethdod mewn cyd-destunau dylunio amrywiol trwy gymhwyso proses ddylunio drwyadl, gan roi gwybodaeth ynghyd trwy themâu cyffredin a gwerthusiadau amrywiol, i ddod ynghyd ar anghenion â blaenoriaeth. Trwy gynhyrchu a thrafod syniadau cryfion rwy’n cymhwyso fy mhrofiad a gwybodaeth ymarferol o’r byd adeiladu a chynhyrchu i wireddu cysyniadau dylunio. Gan ddefnyddio fy ystwythder digidol ac ymarferol i ddysgu sgiliau a thechnegau’n barhaus wrth wasanaethu prosiect dylunio.
