My collection is based on ‘Psychology behind Pattern’ which aims to focus on optical illusions. This is how we perceive and produce new things whilst designing. My collection has two types of prints that combine to create illusory effects that enhance the silhouette shapes which increases the satisfaction of the female body. This brings the scientific elements into fashion to express the mood of my graduate collection to trick the human eye.

This project is mainly inspired by nature such as roses, scenery, and the effects of different patterns which relate to optical illusions. This shows how the world is reflected through the eyes and how the human brain works. Illusions can be illuminating as they separate perception from reality.

Therefore, my design will make you think and use your imagination to create a new image in your mind. The colour inspiration comes from the sunset which is made up of different shades of purple, pink, and blues. The colours contrast to make the perception of the body change shape. The use of manipulation interprets the human eye as part of the design which contrasts two prints together to give off distinctive illusory effects. My print is inspired by the different lines of optical illusions which are combined with nature and it shows how people see the print in different ways to create that new image. This is a spring/summer collection aimed at young women. Overall this collection shows the psychological meaning behind the patterns.

Seilir fy nghasgliad ar ‘Secioleg y tu ôl i Batrwm’ sy’n anelu at ganolbwyntio ar rithiau gweledol. Dyma sut rydym yn gweld ac yn cynhyrchu pethau newydd wrth ddylunio. Mae gan fy nghasgliad ddau fath o brint sy’n cyfuno i greu effeithiau lledrithiol sy’n gwella siapiau silwét sy’n cynyddu boddhad y corff benywaidd. Mae hyn yn dod â’r elfennau gwyddonol i ffasiwn i fynegi hwyliau fy nghasgliad graddedig i dwyllo’r llygad dynol.

Ysbrydolir y prosiect hwn yn bennaf gan natur fel rhosynnau, golygfeydd, ac effeithiau gwahanol batrymau sy’n ymwneud â rhithiau gweledol. Mae hyn yn dangos sut mae’r byd yn cael ei adlewyrchu drwy’r llygaid a sut mae’r ymennydd dynol yn gweithio. Gall rhithiau fod yn oleuol wrth iddynt wahanu canfyddiad oddi wrth realiti.

Felly, bydd fy nghasgliad yn gwneud i chi feddwl a defnyddio eich dychymyg i greu delwedd newydd yn eich meddwl. Daw’r ysbrydoliaeth lliw o’r machlud sy’n cynnwys arlliwiau porffor, pinc a glas. Mae’r lliwiau’n cyferbynnu i wneud i’r canfyddiad o’r corff newid siâp. Mae’r defnydd o drin yn dehongli’r llygad dynol fel rhan o’r dyluniad sy’n cyferbynnu dau brint gyda’i gilydd i roi effeithiau lledrithiol nodedig. Ysbrydolir fy mhrint gan y gwahanol linellau o rithiau gweledol sydd wedi’u cyfuno â natur ac mae’n dangos sut mae pobl yn gweld y print mewn gwahanol ffyrdd i greu’r ddelwedd newydd honno. Casgliad gwanwyn/haf yw hwn wedi’i anelu at fenywod ifanc. Yn gyffredinol, mae’r casgliad hwn yn dangos yr ystyr seicolegol y tu ôl i’r patrymau.
