This project was designed to make Latin dancing more accessible and to share my passion for dance. Salsa and Bachata both originate from South America; due to immigration and slavery, they have been able to evolve and spread geographically. They are now danced globally, yet people outside of the community know very little about Latin dance.
Cuban motion is a lesson in Latin dancing. It teaches the steps and technique for both Salsa and Bachata through a visual system developed from dance notation. This system uses patterns taken from Cuban tiles to guide viewers from step to step. It aims to spark a passion for dance in an easily attainable way. Anyone can dance, and this project will show that.
Dyluniwyd y prosiect hwn i wneud dawnsio Lladinaidd yn fwy hygyrch ac i rannu fy angerdd dros ddawns. Mae Salsa a Bachata ill dau’n tarddu o Dde America; oherwydd mewnfudo a chaethwasiaeth, maent wedi medru esblygu a lledu’n ddaearyddol. Erbyn hyn maent yn cael eu dawnsio’n fyd-eang, ac eto mae pobl y tu allan i’r gymuned yn gwybod ychydig iawn am ddawns Lladinaidd.
Mae symudiad Ciwbaidd yn wers mewn dawnsio Lladinaidd. Mae’n dysgu camau a thechneg Salsa a Bachata trwy system weledol a ddatblygir o nodiant dawns. Mae’r system hon yn defnyddio patrymau o deils Ciwbaidd i dywys gwylwyr o un cam i’r llall. Mae’n ceisio tanio angerdd dros ddawns mewn ffordd all gael ei chyflawni’n hwylus. Gall unrhyw un ddawnsio a bydd y prosiect hwn yn dangos hynny.
