In my practice, I explore my curiosity with ideas surrounding interchangeability and the translation of materials from one dimension to another. I am interested in re-imagined city environments but I also have a keen interest in the throw-away society in which we live. The practice explores spacial concerns in future city life with regard given to projecting my anxieties in a way that is easy to apprehend and uses joy as a mechanism for understanding. I use architectural forms re-imagined far from their original structure so they become impractical, therefore, unusable for anything other than my constructions. The materials are unkempt, flexible and provisional which causes the constructions to be temporary as I feel permanence would undermine their purpose. My most recent practice has been exploring how the structures could depict my interest in movement whilst referring back to my earlier investigations into shape and the discussion between 2D and 3D works.
