The landscape painting has inspired a plenty of works since a long time ago, and it is still a great source that has many possibilities and valuable parts that could be worked with various interpretations. This project has started from an inspiration by traditional Eastern landscape paintings. Long traditions have been transformed many times depending on a variety of incidents in each period of time. Thus, traditions are closely connected to deep cultures and diverse point of views in that country. The traditional landscapes reflect these aspects accordingly so that it is possible to share the deep culture and sentiment through the works.

I made work based on simplicity to deliver the messages in a simple and a modern way. However, the abstractness on the patterns is to deliver the impression of landscape, restrained and peaceful Eastern aesthetics. The incidental patterns and controlled colors coexist in this work. It aims to express the naturalness but still contains controlled characteristics by the nature. Nature has mainly been a model of various artworks. As it reflects periodical and regional views, the landscape contains its own culture. There are still infinite to explore.
