‘Pond Haven’ is a collection inspired by British Pond life and its natural habitat. Nature has always been an inspiration for my work, I decided to focus on Pond life as it is an area that brings back childhood memories. A key feature of the collection is colour, to emphasis the beauty of the flowers and wildlife in contrast to the subjects more muted colours.

The collection is created using hand painted watercolour illustrations, with a main focus on florals, butterflies and bugs. These illustrations are used digitally, and in some cases used as embroidery.

Botanical illustrations have always been my passion for my design work, so I took inspiration from artists such as Lillian Snelling. Her delicate watercolour marks was the muse to how I wanted to draw and create.

The collection has been designed with kitchen interiors in mind, with a main focus on cotton and linen suitable for heavy duty. My vibrant colour palette ensures that my collection will brighten up anyone’s home.

Casgliad ydy ‘Pond Haven / Hafan y Pwll’ a ysbrydolwyd gan fywyd ym mhyllau Prydain a’i gynefin naturiol. Mae natur wedi ysgogi fy ngwaith erioed. Penderfynais ffocysu ar fywyd Pyllau gan ei fod yn faes sy’n dwyn atgofion o fy mhlentyndod yn ôl i mi. Nodwedd allweddol y casgliad ydy’r lliw a ddefnyddiwyd i bwysleisio harddwch blodau a bywyd gwyllt mewn cyferbyniad â lliwiau tawelach y pwnc.

Crëwyd y casgliad drwy ddefnyddio darluniadau dyfrlliw paentiedig â llaw gan ffocysu’n bennaf ar flodau, gloÿnnod byw a thrychfilod ac mewn rhai achosion maen nhw’n cael eu defnyddio mewn brodwaith.

Dwi wedi defnyddio darluniadau botanegol ar gyfer fy ngwaith dylunio erioed, felly, ces fy ysbrydoliaeth o artistiaid megis Lillian Snelling. Ei marciau dyfrlliw cain oedd fy awen ar sut roeddwn i am luniadu a chreu.

Lluniwyd y casgliad ar gyfer ceginau a’r prif ffocws ar gotwm a lliain oedd yn addas ar gyfer gwaith trwm. Mae fy lliwiau lliwgar yn sicrhau y bydd fy nghasgliad yn gloywi cartref unrhyw un.
