I am a multicultural and curious person. I have always had an interest in the creative industry. Being able to express feeling, messages and visions it brings people together and it can be powerful. I am a very relaxed and good-humoured person and that translates into my style of design. An urban street style which will be showcased in my final collection. With so much this world has to offer I I took inspiration in my origins, surroundings and memories. Very personal to me. Being bold and striking is present in my visual content.

‘Six percent of Brazil’s population live in favelas.’ Deprived of basic living conditions. Therefore gangs are formed for survival, provoking conflicts for territory and power,
with police, an ever-present obstacle everyday.

Debuting my namesake collection, FAVELADAS, exhibiting the affordance of unprivileged people’s lifestyle. From safety, style, food, work that equals the simplicity of their life.

Inspired from the History of this beautiful tale, that is the harsh reality for many. I will be creating an Urban/Sporty collection with a utility aspects, that will also incorporate the vibrant attitude that represents their spirit.

Embracing the riches of Brazilian culture.

Rwy’n rhywun amlddiwylliannol a chwilfrydig. Rwyf bob amser wedi cael diddordeb yn y diwydiant creadigol. Mae medru mynegi teimlad, negeseuon a gweledigaeth, mae dod â phobl at ei gilydd a gall fod yn bwerus. Rwy’n rhywun esmwyth gyda hiwmor da ac mae hynny’n trosi i fy arddull ddylunio. Arddull stryd drefol a gaiff ei harddangos yn fy nghasgliad terfynol. Gan fod gan y byd yma gymaint i’w gynnig, cymerais ysbrydoliaeth o fy nharddiadau, yr hyn sydd o gwmpas fi a fy atgofion. Mae’n bersonol iawn i mi. Mae bod yn eofn ac yn drawiadol yn amlwg yn fy nghynnwys gweledol.

‘Mae chwech y cant o boblogaeth Brasil yn byw mewn favelas.’ Wedi’u difreinio o amodau byw sylfaenol. Felly, mae gangiau’n ffurfio er mwyn goroesi, gan ysgogi gwrthdaro er mwyn tiriogaeth a phŵer, gyda’r heddlu yn rhwystr sy’n bresennol bob dydd.

Dyma gyflwyno fy nghasgliad cydenw, FAVELADAS, sy’n arddangos fforddadwyedd ffordd o fyw pobl ddifreintiedig. O ddiogelwch, arddull, bwyd, gwaith sy’n cyfateb i symlrwydd eu bywydau.

Wedi’i ysbrydoli gan Hames y chwedl brydferth hon, dyna’r realiti cas i lawer. Byddaf yn creu casgliad Trefol/Chwaraeon gydag agwedd iwtilitaraidd a fydd yn ymgorffori’r agwedd fywiog sy’n cynrychioli eu hysbryd hefyd.

Gan gofleidio cyfoethogrwydd diwylliant Brasil.
