I believe that interior environments should not exclusively rely on the physical, the ocularcentric, or the aesthetic.

I approach the design process by analysing the host site in order to assess the sense of space in addition to understanding the specific project requirements and client culture.

Each occupant can develop their own interpretation of the designed space, merging the experience they want to live with the one I chose to give them. This coalescence makes every project unique in its essence.

The ideation process of each component and space is the combination of the functional and physical aspects of the production of space and provoking specific but different feelings in each occupant, to achieve a comprehensive phenomenological experience. I approach each project without preconceptions to achieve the best outcome possible.

Grounded in phenomenology my approach to design has been applied to create individual moods in confined spaces and specific atmospheres that unite occupants in larger spaces. Some of these spaces might link to the building externalities and some of them might be completely isolated from any external reality. The result of this is a body of varied work that delivers a comprehensive whilst adaptable design.

Yn fy marn i, ni ddylai amgylcheddau mewnol ddibynnu’n gyfan gwbl ar y ffisegol, yr esthetig neu ar yr hyn a fydd yn well i’r llygad.

Byddaf yn mynd at y broses ddylunio drwy ddadansoddi’r safle perthnasol er mwyn asesu’r ymdeimlad o ofod yn ogystal â deall gofynion penodol y prosiect a diwylliant y cleientiaid.

Gall pob preswylydd ddatblygu eu dehongliad eu hunain o’r gofod a fydd wedi’i ddylunio, gan gyfuno’r profiad y maen nhw am ei fyw â’r un y byddaf innau yn dewis ei roi iddyn nhw. Bydd y cyfuniad hwn yn gwneud pob prosiect yn unigryw yn ei hanfod.

Mae proses syniadu pob cydran a gofod yn gyfuniad o elfennau swyddogaethol a ffisegol cynhyrchu gofod ac ennyn teimladau penodol ond gwahanol ym mhob preswylydd er mwyn cael profiad ffenomenolegol cynhwysfawr. Byddaf yn mynd at bob prosiect heb unrhyw ragdybiaethau er mwyn cael y canlyniad gorau posib.

Mae fy agwedd tuag at ddylunio, sydd â’i gwraidd mewn ffenomenoleg, wedi’i defnyddio i greu hwyliau gwahanol mewn gofodau cyfyng ac awyrgylch penodol sy’n uno preswylwyr mewn gofodau mwy o faint. Gallai rhai o’r gofodau hyn gysylltu â phethau y tu allan i’r adeilad a gallai rhai ohonyn nhw fod wedi’u hynysu’n gyfan gwbl oddi wrth unrhyw realaeth allanol. Canlyniad hyn yw corff o waith amrywiol sy’n cyflawni dyluniad cynhwysfawr ond un sy’n hawdd ei addasu.

Unlike some, I cannot say that I always knew Interior Design was the route I was destined to go down. While I have always had a keen eye and a strong love for artistic design, for me, designing a space seemed like more of a hobby rather than a job that I could pursue...

I’m not one for grand philosophical ideas through design that will ultimately end up being someones living or work space. As a designer all I really aspire to do is create something that is of value to the person using that bit of design whether it’s a space or a...

What interior design means to me is creating a space that reaches its purpose’s full potential. Creating a successful interior design is to produce designs that are easily understood, have functionality and have recognisable aesthetics. When approaching an interior...

The intrigue within me in relation to creating inclusive dimensions derives from being well travelled and primarily being in close contact with disabled children. In 2015 I volunteered for an organisation called Allsorts in Stroud, aiming to provide fun activities for...

To me, design is about working with others to find solutions to their problems. It is only by getting onto someone else’s level and experiencing their journey and needs can one create an experience that doesn’t make assumptions. It is how we use design as a tool to...
