The beauty and diversity of the world and people around us inspires me greatly. Growing up in a time where climate change and ‘non-ethical thinking’ is far too prevalent, I feel the need to make a difference. My design approach aims to enlighten those entering the spaces I create on different cultural histories and beliefs. I believe designs should be sustainable, ethical and a representation of the importance of our different cultures. I hope to encourage others to learn and respect different views on life they would not normally have any knowledge on.

My strengths lie in my innovative thinking, I enjoy designing spaces that are highly decorative and imaginative. I approach each project with intensive research into my brief and educate myself thoroughly on the topic at hand before I begin designing. I apply this knowledge into my designs by adding multiple, intricate details from a culture that will represent it through the chosen decor. My strengths lie in executing these details to such specific precision they become effective in visually educating the viewer.

After thoroughly informing myself on the brief, I look into colour and material choices of cultural importance. I produce designs that stray away from the usual clichés and showcase the culture in greater authenticity. I bring a critical voice, educating others on a range of cultures by displaying the elegance and beauty they sometimes cannot display for themselves.

Mae harddwch ac amrywiaeth y byd a’r bobl o’n cwmpas yn fy ysbrydoli’n fawr. A minnau wedi fy magu mewn cyfnod lle y mae newid yn yr hinsawdd a meddwl mewn ffyrdd sydd heb fod yn foesol, lawer yn rhy gyffredin, rwy’n teimlo’r angen i wneud gwahaniaeth. Nod fy null dylunio yw goleuo’r rheiny a fydd yn mynd i mewn i’r gofodau rwyf yn eu creu ar ddaliadau a hanesion diwylliannol gwahanol. Rwy’n credu y dylai dyluniadau fod yn gynaliadwy, yn foesegol ac yn gynrychiolaeth o bwysigrwydd ein diwylliannau gwahanol. Rwy’n gobeithio annog pobl eraill i ddysgu ac i barchu barnau gwahanol ar fywyd na fydden nhw fel arfer yn gwybod dim amdanyn nhw.

Mae fy nghryfderau yn fy ngallu i feddwl mewn ffyrdd newydd, rwy’n mwynhau dylunio gofodau sy’n addurniadol iawn ac sy’n llawn dychymyg. Rwy’n mynd at bob prosiect drwy ymchwilio’n dreiddgar i’m briff ac yn addysgu fy hun yn drylwyr yn y pwnc perthnasol cyn dechrau dylunio. Rwyf yn cymhwyso’r wybodaeth hon ar gyfer fy nyluniadau drwy ychwanegu rhai manylion cymhleth o ddiwylliant y bydd y décor a ddewisaf yn ei gynrychioli. Ail greu’r manylion hyn yn fanwl, fanwl yw fy nghryfder nes iddyn nhw ddod yn effeithiol yn addysgu’r gwyliwr yn weledol.

Wedi goleuo fy hunan yn drylwyr ar y briff, byddaf yn edrych ar y dewisiadau lliw a deunydd a fydd o bwys yn ddiwylliannol. Byddaf yn cynhyrchu dyluniadau a fydd yn crwydro oddi wrth yr ystrydebau arferol ac yn arddangos y diwylliant mewn ffordd fwy dilys. Byddaf yn dod â llais beirniadol gan addysgu pobl eraill ar ystod o ddiwylliannau drwy ddangos y gosgeiddrwydd a’r harddwch na allan nhw eu dangos eu hunain weithiau.
