BA (Hons) Interior Design

I am one of those people who thrives when surrounded by others. I can sense the general mood of a room full of people when walking into it and I find it interesting to observe people’s body language to understand their emotions.

When speaking in front of others, I can spark excitement and interest by carefully choosing my words and by engaging with people’s passions. I love to listen and get excited by other people’s projects and ambitions; through my interdisciplinary knowledge, I function as a soundboard for others to view their own ideas from a different perspective. I enjoy seeing the positive side of everything, and especially turning people’s insecurities into strengths.

In work and in my personal life, I give all of myself to see mine and other people’s dreams come true. That’s one of the reasons why I love to work in studios: they are filled with positive vibrations, excitement and original ideas that make me perform at my best.

I constantly look at other people’s passions and interests for inspiration for my own work. I identify issues and work hard to solve them. This attitude is at the core of many of my projects and of my passion for education within the field of Interior Design.

Rwy’n un o’r bobl hynny sy’n ffynnu pan fyddaf yng nghanol pobl eraill. Rwy’n gallu synhwyro hwyliau cyffredinol ystafell sy’n llawn o bobl wrth gerdded i mewn iddi ac mae gwylio iaith corff pobl yn ddiddorol er mwyn deall eu hemosiynau.

Wrth siarad o flaen pobl eraill, gallaf danio cyffro a diddordeb drwy ddewis fy ngeiriau’n ofalus a thrwy greu cysylltiad â phethau sy’n agos at galon pobl. Rydw i wrth fy modd yn gwrando ar brosiectau ac uchelgeisiau pobl eraill a chael fy nghyffroi ganddyn nhw; drwy fy ngwybodaeth ryngddisgyblaethol, rwy’n gweithredu fel seinfwrdd i eraill weld eu syniadau eu hunain o bersbectif gwahanol. Rwy’n mwynhau gweld ochr gadarnhaol popeth, ac yn enwedig troi ansicrwydd pobl yn gryfderau.

Yn y gwaith ac yn fy mywyd personol, rwy’n rhoi popeth sydd gen i er mwyn gweld fy mreuddwydion i a breuddwydion pobl eraill yn cael eu gwireddu. Dyna un o’r rhesymau pam rydw i wrth fy modd yn gweithio mewn stiwdios: mae yna naws cadarnhaol, cyffro a syniadau gwreiddiol ynddyn nhw sy’n gwneud i mi gyflawni o’m gorau.

Rwy’n edrych ar angerdd a diddordebau pobl eraill o hyd er mwyn cael ysbrydoliaeth ar gyfer fy ngwaith fy hun. Rwy’n sylwi ar broblemau ac yn gweithio’n galed i’w datrys nhw Mae’r agwedd hon wrth wraidd llawer o’m prosiectau a’m hangerdd i gael addysg ym maes Dylunio Mewnol.

My interest in creating pleasant spaces goes back to my childhood and my family background. I am the daughter of an Iranian architect, who is full of taste and motivation to create and design better surroundings. I look at everything differently and try to set a new...

Unlike some, I cannot say that I always knew Interior Design was the route I was destined to go down. While I have always had a keen eye and a strong love for artistic design, for me, designing a space seemed like more of a hobby rather than a job that I could pursue...

I’m not one for grand philosophical ideas through design that will ultimately end up being someones living or work space. As a designer all I really aspire to do is create something that is of value to the person using that bit of design whether it’s a space or a...

What interior design means to me is creating a space that reaches its purpose’s full potential. Creating a successful interior design is to produce designs that are easily understood, have functionality and have recognisable aesthetics. When approaching an interior...

The intrigue within me in relation to creating inclusive dimensions derives from being well travelled and primarily being in close contact with disabled children. In 2015 I volunteered for an organisation called Allsorts in Stroud, aiming to provide fun activities for...

To me, design is about working with others to find solutions to their problems. It is only by getting onto someone else’s level and experiencing their journey and needs can one create an experience that doesn’t make assumptions. It is how we use design as a tool to...
