This project reveals the hidden truths behind the tourism industry, focusing on those working within the hospitality sector in Spain. Many Spanish businesses thrive from the tourism, as the country has become one of the most popular holiday destinations in the world. Although the tourism sector has such a positive impact on the Spanish economy, due to a lack of modernisation, regulations are now outdated and scarce. During this major season for the Spanish economy, businesses are constantly finding ways to exploit their assets for further financial gain.

‘Spill the Sauce’ is a campaign focusing on the impact that this has on the employees who are forced to succumb to various forms of worker exploitation, where job security and rights are non-existent. The campaign has been formed around a series of interviews which express the true emotions of the people affected, offering them a chance to come together, serve justice and make a change to current working conditions in the hospitality sector.

Mae’r prosiect hwn yn datgelu’r gwirioneddau cudd y tu ôl i’r diwydiant twristiaeth, gan ganolbwyntio ar y rhai sy’n gweithio yn y sector lletygarwch yn Sbaen. Mae llawer o fusnesau Sbaen yn ffynnu o’r dwristiaeth, gan fod y wlad wedi dod yn un o gyrchfannau gwyliau mwyaf poblogaidd y byd. Er bod y sector twristiaeth yn cael effaith gadarnhaol ar economi Sbaen, mae rheoliadau wedi dyddio ac yn brin erbyn hyn yn sgil diffyg moderneiddio. Yn ystod y tymor mawr hwn i economi Sbaen, mae busnesau’n mynd ati’n gyson i ganfod ffyrdd o ‘ecsbloetio’ eu hasedau i sicrhau manteision ariannol.

Mae ‘Spill the Sauce’ yn ymgyrch sy’n canolbwyntio ar yr effaith y mae hyn wedi’i chael ar y gweithwyr sy’n cael eu gorfodi i ildio i wahanol fathau o gam-fanteisio ar weithwyr, mewn sector sydd ddim yn rhoi unrhyw sylw i ddiogelwch swyddi a hawliau. Mae’r ymgyrch wedi’i seilio ar gyfres o gyfweliadau sy’n mynegi gwir emosiynau’r bobl sydd wedi’u heffeithio, gan gynnig cyfle iddyn nhw ddod ynghyd, sicrhau cyfiawnder a newid i amodau gwaith yn y sector lletygarwch.
