I believe that every space should have a distinct personality. Whether the space is used to allow it’s user to feel calm and relaxed or to allow pique of interest. Interiors must elicit emotions in order for the users to be able to identify with the space. When designing spaces I pay close attention to the materials, lighting and detail placed into the space, as I believe that these factors help to shape a space’s ambience.

After spending so much time in hospitals and healthcare settings myself, I want to help make healthcare visits more inviting and peaceful for patients and families along with medical professionals. My goal is to make environments more inclusive to all, and re-design medical facilities making them less anxiety inducing and allowing more comfort for patients and healthcare teams, which in return will hopefully, make a positive impact on peoples lives.

Rwy’n credu y dylai fod gan bob gofod bersonoliaeth unigryw. Boed y gofod yn cael ei ddefnyddio i ganiatáu i’w ddefnyddiwr deimlo’n dawel a llonydd neu i ganiatáu cyffro diddordeb. Rhaid i’r tu mewn ennyn emosiynau er mwyn i’r defnyddwyr allu uniaethu â’r gofod. Wrth ddylunio gofodau, rwy’n rhoi sylw manwl i’r deunyddiau, y goleuadau a’r manylion a roddir yn y gofod, gan fy mod i’n credu bod y ffactorau hyn yn helpu i lunio awyrgylch gofod.

Ar ôl treulio cymaint o amser mewn ysbytai a lleoliadau gofal iechyd fy hun, rydw i am helpu i wneud ymweliadau gofal iechyd yn fwy deniadol a thawel i gleifion a theuluoedd ynghyd â gweithwyr meddygol proffesiynol. Fy nod yw gwneud amgylcheddau’n fwy cynhwysol i bawb, ac ail-ddylunio cyfleusterau meddygol gan eu gwneud yn ofodau sy’n ennyn llai o bryder ac yn caniatáu mwy o gysur i gleifion a thimau gofal iechyd, a bydd hynny, gobeithio, yn cael effaith gadarnhaol ar fywydau pobl.

Unlike some, I cannot say that I always knew Interior Design was the route I was destined to go down. While I have always had a keen eye and a strong love for artistic design, for me, designing a space seemed like more of a hobby rather than a job that I could pursue...

I’m not one for grand philosophical ideas through design that will ultimately end up being someones living or work space. As a designer all I really aspire to do is create something that is of value to the person using that bit of design whether it’s a space or a...

The intrigue within me in relation to creating inclusive dimensions derives from being well travelled and primarily being in close contact with disabled children. In 2015 I volunteered for an organisation called Allsorts in Stroud, aiming to provide fun activities for...

To me, design is about working with others to find solutions to their problems. It is only by getting onto someone else’s level and experiencing their journey and needs can one create an experience that doesn’t make assumptions. It is how we use design as a tool to...
