Lily-Mae Lowe

BA (Hons) Artist Designer Maker

I aim to create designs that embody a new perspective of typical everyday objects producing unique, playful, and stylish home-ware and lifestyle products. I want to create designs with unusual features to enhance their function and relationship with the user and introduce the idea of thinking beyond the standard ways.

Additionally, I have a passion for using discarded and used materials to transform them and give them another life to continue their life-cycle. I often use overlooked materials as they tell their own story and have character that I want to develop.

Rwy’n anelu at greu dyluniadau sy’n ymgorffori persbectif newydd o wrthrychau nodweddiadol bob dydd gan gynhyrchu nwyddau cartref a ffordd o fyw unigryw, chwareus a steilus. Rwyf eisiau creu dyluniadau gyda nodweddion anarferol i fwyhau eu swyddogaeth a’u perthynas â’r defnyddiwr a chyflwyno’r syniad o feddwl y tu hwnt i’r dulliau safonol.

At hynny, mae gennyf angerdd dros ddefnyddio ddeunyddiau sydd wedi’u defnyddio a’u taflu i’w trawsnewid a rhoi bywyd arall iddynt er mwyn parhau â’u cylch bywyd. Yn aml rwy’n defnyddio deunyddiau a ddiystyrwyd gan eu bod yn adrodd eu stori eu hunain ac yn meddu ar gymeriad yr wyf eisiau ei ddatblygu.
